Who we are
Urban myth-takes is a four-year research project led by Dr James Berghan (Te Rarawa, Te Aupōuri). James’ research focuses on housing and urban design, from a kaupapa Māori perspective. Having had taught urban design for five years at the University of Otago and Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington, James is now working full-time as a researcher on this and other urban-related projects.
We are excited for our rangahau rōpu to grow over the span of the project and have various opportunities available, including masters scholarships and casual research assistant contracts. If you are interested in joining our rangahau as a researcher/kairangahau, please get in touch!
